iPaaS & Integration Strategy Governance

Independent oversight of your integration architecture — before sprawling, undocumented point-to-point connections become the business’s biggest hidden operational risk.

Integration platforms — MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, or lighter-weight tools like Make, Zapier, or n8n — get adopted piecemeal, one connection at a time, until the business is running dozens of integrations no single person fully understands, built with wildly inconsistent standards, and genuinely fragile in ways that only become visible when something breaks. What you don’t have is an independent read of how much risk that fragility actually carries, and a coherent governance model going forward.

That is what this engagement is.

Two stages. A fixed-fee strategy review to establish the governance model, followed by ongoing oversight quoted on the actual scope of your integration landscape.

No implementation work. No commissions. No relationship with any iPaaS vendor that could compromise independence.

Why clients commission independent oversight

  • Integrations have accumulated across multiple tools — MuleSoft in one part of the business, Zapier flows built ad hoc elsewhere — with no consistent standard governing any of it.
  • A key integration broke recently and it took far longer than it should have to even understand what it was doing, let alone fix it.
  • The business is evaluating consolidating onto a single iPaaS platform and wants an independent strategy first.
  • A key person who built most of the existing integrations has left or is planning to, and the board wants an independent assessment of the exposure.

Who this is for

Boards and technology leaders wanting independent oversight of a sprawling or fragile integration landscape, or planning a genuine iPaaS strategy.

Organisations with real key-person risk concentrated in whoever built the current integrations.

Who this is not for

Organisations wanting a full, detailed technical map of every integration and data flow first — that’s the Integration & API Review, which pairs well as a first step for a genuinely sprawling landscape.

Organisations wanting integrations built or migrated. We govern and review; we do not implement.

Stage one: the Strategy Review

€15,000. Three to four weeks. An independent assessment of your current integration landscape, key-person and fragility risk, a proposed platform and governance strategy, and standards for how future integrations should be built and documented. Delivered as a written report and board presentation.

Stage two: ongoing oversight

Where the Strategy Review surfaces a genuine need for continued independent oversight — reviewing new integrations against the agreed standards, tracking consolidation progress — this is scoped and quoted separately, based on the actual scope and pace of change.

What this is not

Implementation. We govern and review; we do not build or migrate integrations ourselves.
